Congresswoman Erin Houchin to Visit Southern Border

March 3, 2023

WASHINGTON – On Monday, March 6, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) will visit the southern border in Uvalde, Texas as Americans across the country face the consequences of President Biden’s growing border crisis. The trip will serve as an opportunity to engage with border patrol agents and local officials on border security, trade, and law enforcement issues.

“The Biden border crisis has made every state, including Indiana, a border state. This is a national security issue, and the President and his administration have failed to act to resolve it. I will do everything in my power to make sure Hoosiers are no longer dealing with the effects of high crime and surging overdose deaths from drugs like fentanyl. I’m eager to see these issues firsthand, something that took President Biden years to do, and I will use the information gathered as we continue to fight for a secure southern border,” said Congresswoman Houchin.
