While already facing the unimaginable loss of his grandfather, Eric Kamen’s family encountered Social Security issues that placed additional hardships on them. After Congresswoman Houchin’s office intervened, the matter was resolved and the funds were returned to the family. Watch his testimony below. 


Timothy Staley dealt with ongoing Social Security issues for years, creating significant stress with no progress toward a resolution. Congresswoman Erin Houchin’s office stepped in, committed to resolving the issue, and worked to restore the benefits he was owed.

After Joel Allgeier’s mother experienced ongoing issues with the IRS, Congresswoman Houchin’s office intervened and successfully helped resolve the challenges his mother was facing.

Doug Drake faced an unresolved IRS issue that placed significant strain on his nonprofit organization. With the assistance of Congresswoman Houchin’s office, the matter was resolved and over $380,000 was returned.

Kettig Coghill and his adult daughter Tasha, who has down syndrome, faced issues with Medicare coverage after the passing of Coghill’s wife. A Social Security error mistakenly marked Tasha as deceased, cutting off her benefits and Medicare coverage.  Congresswoman Erin Houchin’s office assisted to correct the error and restore her benefits retroactive two years to the date of the mistake.

Deborah turned to Congresswoman Houchin’s office after years of frustration with the Office of Personnel Management, restoring the benefits that had been left unresolved for nearly two years.

“I had been waiting for nearly two years with no progress on my claim and no answers from a federal agency. After countless phone calls and dead ends, I reached out to Congresswoman Houchin’s office.
