WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Erin Houchin (IN-09) applauds the announcement of the $25 million Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded to Ports of Indiana-Jeffersonville.
This grant is the largest federal grant in Ports of Indiana’s 65-year history and will support a $32 million expansion project that will enhance the port’s capabilities, strengthen Indiana’s supply chain infrastructure, and improve freight movement across the Midwest.

If enacted, the American mastodon and Tyrannosaurus rex would join the bald eagle, bison, rose, and oak tree as official national symbols of the United States.
