Congresswoman Houchin Speaks on House Floor to Congratulate Two Local Teams for Winning IHSAA State Championship

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) spoke on the House Floor to congratulate the Lanesville Eagles and the Bedford North Lawrence Lady Stars girls’ basketball teams for winning the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s State Championship titles over the weekend. 

“Both teams left their hearts on the basketball court and represented their hometowns well. I join Hoosiers across our district in saying ‘Congratulations!’ Their dedication to the sport helps make Indiana the best basketball state in the country,” said Congresswoman Houchin.

Congresswoman Houchin also recognized two seniors, Linzie Wernert of Lanesville and Karsyn Norman of Bedford North Lawrence, for being named the 2023 recipients of the Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award.
