VIDEO: Congresswoman Erin Houchin Delivers First Remarks on House Floor on Pro-Life Bill

“Hoosiers across Southern Indiana feel that every life is precious and deserves the dignity and respect of life-saving care,” Rep. Houchin.
WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) voted in support of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, H.R. 26, to ensure that infants who are born alive after an abortion attempt have the same protection of the law and degree of care as all other newborn children.
“From New Albany, to Salem, to Madison, Hoosiers across Southern Indiana feel that every life is precious and deserves the dignity and respect of life-saving care. Most Americans agree that saving the lives of babies who survive a botched abortion is not just humane, it is necessary and foundational to our constitutional right to life. I’m proud to be an original cosponsor on this important bill, and I will always defend life and support mothers and their children,” said Congresswoman Houchin.
In addition to the pro-life bill, Congresswoman Houchin also voted in favor of H.Con.Res.3 to condemn the recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches that have occurred in the wake of the Dobbs leak and subsequent decision.
“I was proud to pass today’s resolution to condemn the senseless acts of violence and vandalism against pro-life organizations. I’m proud to be an original supporter of this resolution and stand with our Hoosier pro-life community,” said Congresswoman Houchin.
