GREENSBURG, Ind. – Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) invites middle and high school students and parents to attend Academy Day on Saturday, September 23 in Decatur County. 

Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Additionally, an overview of the application and nominating process will be provided.

WASHINGTON – This week, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09), a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee and House Financial Services Committee, introduced the Retirement Proxy Protection Act. This bill wouldprevent the politicization of individuals’ retirement plans by clarifying guidance around shareholder proposals and codifying key provisions of the Trump Administration’s proxy regulations.

INDIANA – U.S Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) joins Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) and all of Indiana’s congressional delegation in support of the state’s application to be named a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub (Tech Hub). The Tech Hub proposal, known as Heartland BioWorks, would cement Indiana’s position as a leader in biotechnology, medical technology, genomics, and synthetic biology.

The bill requires workforce development funding be prioritized for programs with proven success, like the Goodwill Excel Center in Clarksville, Indiana.
