WASHINGTON –Today, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09), a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, voted to pass the Parents Bill of Rights Act to improve transparency inside the classroom. The bill included her amendment to require parents to be notified when their student is not reading at a grade-level proficiency by the end of the third grade.
